Michelle Malone began her dance training at age 9 at Gotta Dance Studios in Seville, Ohio under Francine LeRoy where she danced competitively for many years in cities across the US and was a member of the Tour de Force Entertainment Company, dancing in shows and Festivals across Italy in 1992. After moving to SC that same year, Michelle continued dancing at the Greenville Ballet and performed with the Greenville Spinners Basketball dance team. She attended the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and was a member of the dance company under Susan Anderson.  After college, she continued dancing and teaching in the Upstate and for a short time in Detroit, Michigan where she had the opportunity to participate in the Tapology tap festival in Flint, Michigan: an intensive tap workshop featuring talented tappers such as Diane Walker, Jason Samuels Smith and Derrick Grant.  Michelle is an active member of the local theater community, and has choreographed tap numbers for Singing in the Rain and Mary Poppins at Spartanburg Little Theater, and several numbers for Godspell in Fountain Inn for the FIRE Theatre Company.  She even performed in Bye Bye Birdie with the Mill Town Players!  She has two fabulous dancing daughters, Katie and Megan, and a very supportive husband Bryan who has transitioned nicely into a dance-prop-theater dad.
